How can we see these continual shifts in technology from the lens of the “digital divide” that we established doesn’t really “exist” by itself, but is rather defined and redefined based on changes in the larger social-political-economic framework.

AWESOME VIDEO! Really gives you some things to think about. I thought it was incredible that Myspace would be the 8th largest country in the world by population.Do I get to claim dual citizenship? =)
I also found it was very interesting to see the statistics about college graduates and english speaking proficiencies. Too often I fall into the ethnocentric trap that the U.S. is ‘above’ all other countries in education…thus I was surprised when I saw China and India so far ahead of us in the number of college graduates over the last year. I wonder how many of them belong to Myspace as well? =)
